where it all began
Based in the Vale of Evesham, Simon Watts Joinery specialises in beautiful, bespoke joinery. Combining traditional methods and authentic craftsmanship with the latest technologies, we transform premium quality wood into stunning custom creations for our clients throughout the Cotswolds and beyond.
The story of Simon Watts Joinery
Simon Watts was the brains and vision behind Simon Watts Joinery. Simon gained years of experience in the industry before starting his own joinery business in 2010.
With Simon at the helm, Simon Watts Joinery grew a loyal client base. Sadly after several years, Simon was diagnosed with a terminal illness. He approached his friends and construction business owners, husband and wife team Dan and Lyndsey, and asked if they would be interested in taking the reins of the business, as his priority was to secure a future for his family.
Simon sadly passed away in January 2021, but Dan and Lyndsey are deeply committed and incredibly proud to continue building on the success of Simon’s legacy, to provide beautiful joinery and the best possible client experience. Much of their own home showcases the craftmanship of the talented team at Simon Watts Joinery.
Towards the end of 2021, we moved premises to accommodate our growing team, whilst remaining true to Simon Watts Joinery’s roots.
sustainability
We promote an eco-friendly approach to our work, with all our timber being of the highest quality, from sustainable sources, and either FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) or PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification) approved.
Furthermore, we recycle over 70% of our timber waste, with larger pieces graded, shredded and sustainably re-used by Ash Waste Services, a certified carbon neutral organisation. Our sawdust is collected by R. Swindell & Sons Ltd. for agricultural use, preventing it from entering landfill.
We want to look after our beautiful planet, so for every completed project, we give something back to the environment by donating to Ecologi, who plant trees on our behalf.
Ecologi is dedicated to tackling the climate crisis, funding numerous projects here in the UK and around the world, each with the aim of reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
